Crash near Colborne kills cyclist on Canada Day

A cyclist from Cramahe Township has died after a collision involving a pickup truck on County Road 2 near Colborne late last night.

Around 11:15 p.m. on Tuesday, emergency services responded to a report of a crash between Colton Street and Jackson Drive. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. 

County Road 2 remained closed until just after 7:30 this morning. The name of the deceased is not being released. 

The investigation remains ongoing, and updates will be provided when available.
