Cramahe Township

Cramahe Township has announced a visioning session on a proposed review of its Official Plan, followed by a special meeting of council on July 22.

The visioning session takes place from 3 to 5 p.m. that day at the Keeler Centre (80 Division St.)., providing residents with an interactive opportunity to provide their vision for the township. Members of the public are invited to attend in person or virtually through Zoom, as well as to submit comments in writing.

The special council meeting follows at 6 p.m. in council chambers, in accordance with the requirements of the Planning Act RSO 1990 C.P. 13, as amended, to provide members of the public an opportunity to provide comments and discuss the revisions that may be required to the current Official Plan.

This special meeting is the first step to initiate the review process, the announcement said, and no draft documents have been prepared for this meeting.

“Throughout the Official Plan review process, there will be an Open House and a Statutory Public Meeting that will provide additional opportunities for the pubic to review draft documents and to provide comments to staff and council,” it added.

You can register in advance of the meeting with clerk@cramahe.ca for virtual participation.

You can provide written submissions at the same e-mail address, fax them to 905-355-3430 or leave them in the mail drop box at Town Hall (1 Toronto St.). Please ensure your name and address are included, a required for the public record.

Following the special meeting, comments provided by the public will be considered by staff, the consultant and council in the Official Plan review process.
