Cobourg man charged with drugs and weapons offences.

A Cobourg man is charged with drug offenses following a foot patrol in downtown Saturday.

Just before noon, police on King Street East and McGill Street allegedly observed a man sitting on a curb with controlled substances and drug paraphernalia on the ground in front of him in plain view.

Authorities apparently seized approximately 10 grams of fentanyl, 16 grams of cocaine and 23 grams of crack cocaine, with a total estimated street value of $12,000. Police claim during the arrest, the officer located a quantity

of cash, a weigh scale, several knives, contraband unmarked cigarettes, and other controlled substances. Wayne Langley was charged and held for a bail hearing.
