A Port Hope man is charged with uttering threats and mischief, following an incident in Cobourg Wednesday.

Police allege while paying for his drink at the business in the area of Division and Munroe Streets, he became aggressive with the cashier, threatening to kill him.

Before exiting the store, the suspect apparently poured the drink on the floor and left. Police were able to identify the man through security footage. The suspect was held for a bail hearing.
