With Victoria Day on Monday, the Town of Cobourg advises residents that its municipal buildings will be closed that day – Victoria Hall, the Cobourg Community Centre, the Cobourg Public Library, Pubic Works Building 7 and the Venture 13 Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre.

Cobourg Transit will run its regular service hours, however, and there are two family-friendly events planned for Saturday evening.

The 2025 Movies Under the Stars season kicks off at 8:30 p.m. in the Rotary Harbourfront Park (110 Albert St.), with the movie Despicable Me 4 shown on an outdoor inflatable movie screen. Grab your blanket, bug spray, lawn chair and popcorn, and bring the whole family for a free event brought to you by Experience Cobourg and event sponsor Milner Financial Cobourg.

And after the movie, at about 10 p.m., stick around for the big First Night fireworks-over-the-harbour display that had to be cancelled Dec. 31 due to inclement weather.

The Town of Cobourg wishes everyone a safe and happy Victoria Day long weekend.
