The Cobourg Garden Club is inviting the public to its annual Summer Flower Show and Tea, happening Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Cobourg Public Library.
Admission is free, and everyone is welcome.
Visitors can expect a vibrant display of flowers, fruits, vegetables, houseplants, preserves, photography, and more.
This year’s theme is "Celebrating Cobourg’s Beach", with design entries like "Driftwood" and "Water Garden", plus photography classes titled "Sandcastles" and "A Planter".
Last year’s show featured over 200 entries, with nearly 80 guests enjoying the displays, afternoon tea, and homemade treats.
Founded in 1859, the Cobourg Garden Club is one of Ontario’s oldest horticultural groups.
As well as hosting seasonal flower shows, the club organizes an annual plant sale, guest speaker nights, local garden tours, and community beautification projects.
It also offers a scholarship to local high school students pursuing horticulture studies.
