Two Cobourg residents are facing charges in an alleged robbery.

Police responded to Swayne and McGill Streets Tuesday on a report of a street-level robbery.

Authorities say the victim reported having been assaulted by an individual, during which time a second person had taken money from her.

The suspects were known to the victim who was able to provide police with their identities. One suspect was located and, after a brief foot pursuit, was arrested.

The second suspect was located later that evening and arrested without incident.

A 16-year-old youth and a 34-year-old woman are facing charges. They were held for a bail hearing.
