The Baltimore Recreation Centre is getting a facelift as the province is investing $150,000 to upgrade the sports field and park lighting.

“Our government is proud to support Hamilton Township in enhancing local recreation facilities that bring families and neighbours together,” said David Piccini, MPP for Northumberland–Peterborough South. “This investment in the Baltimore Recreation Centre will help meet growing community demand, improve safety, and ensure residents of all ages and abilities have access to quality outdoor spaces.”

The funding will help the project align with the Township's Recreation Master Plan by adding trail lighting around the Baltimore Recreation Centre’s green space and park. It also upgrades the ball diamonds to clay surfaces, meeting community demand and boosting usage.

“We’re very grateful to receive this grant. Support like this goes a long way in communities like ours, where recreation spaces play such an important role in bringing folks together. We’re committed to making the most of this opportunity for the benefit of all our residents to strengthen community connections and improve quality of life.” explained Mayor Scott Jibb.
