Port Hope Police investigate sudden death

Port Hope Police are investigating a sudden death.

Officers were called to the Bedford Street area Saturday, after receiving reports of a missing elderly man.

Police located the man in a body of water behind the property. Vital signs were not present.

Despite life saving efforts by officers and paramedics, the man was declared deceased in hospital.

Police do not suspect foul play and believe this is an isolated incident. The name of the deceased is not being released.
