BECN announces microgrants for new businesses

Big things are happening for small businesses, with the Business and Entrepreneurship Centre Northumberland's new Starter Company Growth program, and applications are being accepted until June 2.

The program allows businesses that have been operating full-time in Northumberland for at least six months to apply to receive a free microgrant of up to $3,500 – no repayment, no loans, just a grant – as well as business growth development, free training and mentorship opportunities and on-going business advice.

Whether a business is looking to expand, hire or launch a new service, this program can help.

Business owners ready to take that next step can submit applications on-line by June 2. Space in the program ins limited, and funding will be awarded through a competitive process.
